Well – as you can probably see, that is not a photo of a quilt in progress – nor a small crochet bear. It *is* an instagram snap of some tatting, taken on the train. I was sketching a new design, but I’m not sure it’s working. The green and white bit to the left of centre reminds me of snowdrops so that would be the best way to take it perhaps. We’ll see.
I’ve been working on a new quilt today, and so when the light was best for photographs, I was busy at the machine. Now I feel like telling you more about the quilt and the small crochet bear I’ve also made but it’s too dark for photos with my grumpy camera! Apologies.
Again another Instagram shot. I made this yesterday from a Japanese pattern. I added the beads just to test something out – which worked. I’ve got a longer post to come about beads, but it needs more photos to explain, so… next time.
In other news, I ran my second 10k, and it was fine! I didn’t want to drop dead at the end of it, and I’m probably doing another one in November. It’s also the Knitting and Stitching Show next weekend, and I’m going with a friend, and looking forward to it immensely.

It definitely does look like snowdrops, I like. Well done on the 10k, we had our annual village 10k race the other week. Big J has been inspired to have a go at the kids 2k so went for a practice run today…. Very proud of him.
Thanks! I spotted your post about the race, and just as I was thinking that it looked like a nice route to run, I saw the word ‘hilly’ and it put me off a bit! Hope Big J keeps it up.
He’s been and done another run today.. 3k this time. Very proud of him.

On the contrary! If I don’t hear of the quilt being finished and looking wonderful with its lovely edging fabric I’ll be most disappointed. So the pressure is still on I’m afraid! 🙂
Oooh, I love snowdrops! I planted some in my front yard in the hopes that they would naturalize, but no such luck. I know where every single bulb is planted and anxiously wait for them to pop up in the spring. Such tough yet delicate looking flowers!
They are lovely – There was a lady that lived down my road who had a lovely little garden which was always full of snowdrops at the right time of year. They seem to grow in the grass best I think (and woods), rather than in flower beds which is what makes me like them so much. They always seem a bit magical.
